Picolet Chardin II is at the Furinkan high school. He is opening a bottle of champagne at a table he has had set for the Tendo sisters in the school hallway. The sisters have just sat down after appearing in response to invitations from Chardin, which, as Nabiki noted, offer a free meal.
Both the cel layers and the background were trimmed, almost cutting off the alignment holes in the cel layers completely. Tha background was stapled upside down to the cels when both were trimmed. The image shown was scanned with the background oriented properly.
The video started a pan up the cel from the bottom. The cel layer showing Chardin's hand and the bottle appears immediately (3:06) before the bottle is opened. After the bottle is opened, the cel layer with the spraying liquid appears (3:08). At the end of the upward pan, the camera settles on Chardin's face and his open smile reduces to a thin line (3:08) for the cel layer showing his mouth. Unfortunately, the DVD is very washed out at this point, so that the screen captures really don't do justice to the cel image.
I purchased this cel because I liked the whole image with the bubbling bottle. The cel was purchased from Anime Gambit.
