Ranma's mom, Nodoka Satome, draws a sword from its scabbard in response to Akane's question about whether Nodoka would insist on Genma and Ranma committing ritual seppuku if Genma failed to live up to his promise to make Ranma into a man among men. The punch line to this action is that Nodoka lets the sword slip from her grasp and it lands embedded in the floor in front of Ranko (Ranma-chan) and Genma panda. Here, in this cel, the sword is in the air and Ranma-chan and Genma panda are reacting in terror as the sword heads towards its final impact location in front of them between Ranma-chan's legs.
