This image is from a daydream of Gosunkugi's. Gosunkugi is imaging first a date with Akane and later being married to Akane. This cel occurs at the point in his daydream when he is returning home from work and Akane is greeting him with a kiss.
Although Akane started the series with long-hair and had it accidently cut off in the middle of the first season of the TV series, wearing her hair short thereafter, Akane does appear later in the series with long hair in dream sequences and flashbacks to earlier times in her life. This dream sequence is one of those times later in the series in which Akane appears with long hair.
Both cel layers are labelled A7. The top layer is just Gosunkugi's shirt. The lower layer has the shirt lines but is not painted.
