After Akane and Ranma-chan lose to Natsumi and Kurumi, Akane runs away from the Tendo training hall. Set up in an empty lot (do they really have a lot of them in Tokyo?), Akane is intent upon practicing and becoming a better martial artist, so she challenges Ukyo and Shampoo. After they talk to Akane, they both volunteer to train Akane (both with their fingers figuratively crossed). Here, in this cel, Akane is in the middle of a fight with them, reacting to a brick thrown at her.
This cel, with its dynamic action caught as the brick sprays apart, drew me in immediately. The fierce determination on Akane's face in this scene expresses one of the core elements of Akane's personality.
The OAV cels generally offer some truly top-notch images from the Ranma 1/2 franchise. I regret not getting more OAV cels when I had the chance.
