This strange compilation cel was purchased at Anime Central 2010 directly from Curt (Asylum Anime), who said that he had bought it because, as Spock would say, it was very "interesting".
Whoever decided to create this mixture cut out the small image of Lum and stapled it to the cel of Genma. (I removed the staples before scanning it.) The background does not have numbering typical of a Ranma cel, so I assume it came from Urusei Yatsura or, perhaps, just about any old random anime.
Overall, I have to wonder what possessed someone to mutilate a cel in order to create this specific image and, then, after manufacturing it, sell it off. Anyways, the cel just appealed to my sense of weirdness and I bought it. (Also, it was cheap - so the weirdness came at a small price.)
The image of Lum is stuck to the background. The image of Genma is separable.
