Akane, Shinnosuke, and Shinnosuke'sgrandfather have just run from the Eight-Headed Orochi into a cave. Here, while Shinnosuke lays unconscious and gravely injured, Akane is taking up Shinnosuke's broom with the intent of using it to get some of the moss off of the Orochi in order to save Shinnosuke's life.
